Label tab

The Label tab is where you define styles for the labels shown in your charts. Most chart styles include labels for the chart’s data, and the category and value axes. Gauge charts have fewer labels than other chart types, so gauge chart styles have fewer label options than others.

The following describes the label chart styles options for gauge chart styles.

Field	Description
Show Gauge Label	Select this check box to show a label for the gauge chart.
Show Gauge Value	Select this check box to show a label for the gauge chart’s value.
Label Font	Click in the Font box to open the Choose Font window where you can select a font, font size, and color for the label text. Refer to Choosing font attributes.
Background	Click the Background box to open the Color window to select a background color for the label. Refer to Choosing colors.

The other chart types have radio buttons you can select to specify options for category axis, value axis, and data labels.

The following describes the category axis and value axis settings on the Label tab.

Field	Description
Show Label	Select this check box to show the category or value axis label on the report.
Font	Click in the Font box to open the Choose Font window to select a font, font size, and color for the category or value axis label. Refer to Choosing font attributes.

The following describes the data labels settings on the Label tab.

Field	Description
Show Labels	Click this drop-down menu to select when you want the data labels to display. You can select Always or Never. Selecting Never dis­ables data labels and the other data label fields.
Show Border	Select this check box to show a border around the data label text. You can also click the box to select a color for the border. Refer to Choosing colors.
Font	Click in the Font box to open the Choose Font window where you can select a font, font size, and color for the data label text. Refer to Choosing font attributes.
Background	Click the Background box to open the Color window to select a background color for the data label. Refer to Choosing colors.
