The options on the Exceptions tab can be modified to change the width, borders, and colors used to indicate data exceptions in charts.
The following describes the options available on the Exceptions tab for a radar chart style.
Click in the Font box to open the Choose Font window to select a font, font size, and color for the exception notes label. Refer to Choosing font attributes.
Click the color box to open the Color window and select a background color for the exception box label. Refer to Choosing colors.
Select this check box to show a border around the exception notes. You can also select a color for the border by clicking the Color box. Refer to Choosing colors.
The following describes the options on the Exceptions tab of a bar chart. The Exceptions tab for other chart styles are very similar to those available for bar charts.
This section defines the attributes for the exception lines in the chart. Exceptions are data thresholds that may be defined in the report. For more information, refer to Creating data exceptions.
Name (Color Scheme)
To select a color scheme for the chart’s exceptions, click Default or the name of the displayed color scheme. A window will open where you can select the color scheme. Your options are Default, Everglades, Ocean, Pastel, Sapphire, SeaSide, Southwest, Standard 16, Standard Translucent, Subdued, or custom color schemes. Refer to Color Schemes explorer for procedures on customizing color schemes.
This section defines the attributes for the text in the exception box.
Click this drop-down menu to select a display position for the chart’s exception box. Your options are Right, Left, Top, and Bottom.
Click in the Font box to open the Choose Font window to select a font, font size, and color for the exception box label. Refer to Choosing font attributes.
Click the color box to open the Color window and select a background color for the exception box label. Refer to Choosing colors.
Select a radio button to specify the style of the exception box border. To prevent a border from displaying select None. You can also select a color for the border by clicking the Color box. Refer to Choosing colors.
